July, 2020 Fandom: Harry Potter Song: Look After You by The Fray Description: Happy birthday angel! This was an incredibly healing process as I repaired my relationship with the Harry Potter fandom after its author betrayed fans by preaching the exact opposite of what Harry would - love. I was absolutely destroyed by her damaging comments and essay towards the trans community. And yet, the fandom really came through for me. Fans, actors, editors, theorists... we were all on the same page. The films in particular are such a collaborative process that are made up of so many creative minds beyond any one person, and so many of them were quick to remind us what the series is about. Daniel Radcliffe's essay particularly struck home. My love of the films cannot be tainted, nor can my love for the fictional characters who hold an existence in my heart specific to me and only me. June, 2020 Fandom: Horns (2014) Song: Wicked Game cover by James Vincent McMorrow Description: "It's strange what desire can make foolish people do" I wanted to get this out before the start of June and nearly did. I finished editing over a week prior, rendered it, and it was a glitched out mess. I rendered it an additional four times with no luck, and then what do you know, the world fell apart (as if it wasn't fallen apart already) and my mind had been too preoccupied elsewhere. I rendered this a grand total of eight times to get the final product - piecing together what went right in each individual rendering. What must have made it so difficult to render was the blending mode to layer two scenes on top of one another. This is the second time I have EVER used blending mode on PowerDirector15 (first time was when I first got the product), as it is most fitting for these slow, emotional videos, artistic. April, 2019 Fandom: Chuck Song: Secrets by OneRepublic Description: I've been rewatching the show Chuck (for the millionth time), though with a family member of mine this time around. I swear, I've introduced this show to a fair amount of friends and never have they not gone and finished the whole five seasons. I love being able to experience the show through fresh eyes, remembering all of the twists and turns and big reveals. (Definitely not gonna let him watch this though, full of spoilers!!) I think what I'm most attracted to about Chuck as a premise is the double-life aspect of the story. There is so much weight riding on the secrets that he holds, that he is prevented in every way from telling his loved ones. December, 2015 Fandom: Skins Compilation of Closing Credits Scenes Description: I just thought the closing credits were so well done each season, I wanted to compile them all. The version of Skins that is widely available (i.e. on streaming services like Netflix, or DvDs) has had its original music stripped for international copyright reasons. It was probably too expensive to license all of the songs they included. But for me, ESSENTIAL to the Skins viewing is the original music. I have downloaded all of the original episodes with its original music, and that is what I used here to upload the beautifully edited closing credits scenes, in which music is the heart and soul. It makes the video copyrighted in many countries, however, as to be expected.

Obviously it's the month where everything begins and life completely changes for Harry. It's when Hogwarts starts, so it might have been his favorite month. That's because Harry despised summer. Metaphorically though, September means turning away from the good times. Summer is like childhood. September could mean growing up. It could mean running away. It could mean the war. For Harry's life though, it sure doesn't mean the month. I really tried to up my technical and coloring skills while making this. I absolutely LOVE the coloring - the black/white tones are beautiful.
