April, 2020 Fandom: Cinderella (2015) & Beauty and the Beast (2017) Song: Better Days by The Goo Goo Dolls Description: I'll admit I made this whole video so I could edit together those two dance sequences. But everyone could use an optimistic song about a better future these days :) It looks like I haven't uploaded a video in OVER A YEAR which is not entirely true because I did make one a few weeks ago but it was blocked so hopefully the copyright rules around it will change in time. Before that, I was making travel vlogs for myself and dealing with a new full time job and applying to grad school. But now that it's eyy quarantine, I can get some of these out the door. I'll never quit! The year long hiatus from my YouTube channel is not entirely accurate. I had spent a good amount of time on a video prior to this that got blocked until recently. But it is true, it had been a while, and I missed it. Combination of life things like a new full-time job, grad school ...

May, 2018 Multifandom (Full Emma Watson filmography 2001-2018 - films listed at the end) Song: The Fear by Lily Allen Description: Favorite actress ever. I've had a lot of female icons I've looked up to over the years. I had a huge Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana phase. Also Vanessa Hudgens/Gabriella Montez during the HSM years. However, Emma is the one that has stuck with me for 17 years now - a favorite since I was 5. Hermione Granger is my favorite female character in existence. My go-to rule is to never vid a fandom unless it's completely finished (which kills a channel btw) because then it never becomes outdated. Problem is, EW has been on an acting break for years, and will not have new movies for years to come so I think it's completely justified to make multi-EW vids as a set for this completed phase of her career. Maybe I'll make more of these. I had a mouth surgery yesterday and I just concocted this while sitting on the couch recovering. Felt very ...

September, 2017 Fandom: Beauty and the Beast (2017) Characters: Belle & Beast Song: Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers feat. Coldplay Description: I have so many batb ideas it was hard to choose which one to do. But this was the original song I had in mind for the film. I heard it for the first time around the first time I saw the film and they just became closely associated in my heart. There was a fun irony to play with here, vidding a song about not needing a fairy tale life to a film that's a literal fairy tale. But in this adaptation, something that's very important is that it's not the glitz and glamour and magic that attract Belle and Beast to each other. In reality, they thrive best without all of that, just reading good books together. Oh god I love Emma Watson. Like I really love Emma Watson. And I love Coldplay. And Disney. And just... oh this was a childhood dream video to make. It felt almost silly. It's an old fashioned fairy tale e...

September, 2015 Fandom: The Bling Ring (2013) Song: Fancy by Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX Description: #womancrushwednesday?? Or #Watsoncrushwednesday?? I tried to be civil about this and represent the entire cast and movie but lezzbe honest it's mostly Emma Watson. Who doesn't want to see sexy Emma Watson? I didn't even really like this movie. Or at least the editing or directing style, but I love the imagery, tone and characters and that's all you really need to feel passionate about vidding I'm not a huge fan of the movie, just a huge fan of Emma Watson. The movie doesn't have the best structure, editing, or script... BUT I loved the cinematography, the imagery, the themes of the movie... so it was totally enough to have fun making a vid. I actually think the aesthetic of this video is something I far prefer watching to the actual movie itself. To date, this is one of my own videos I enjoy the most. It's got a very simple, hip, timeless editing style. T...
