July, 2021 Fandom: Bojack Horseman Song: champagne problems by Taylor Swift Description: Lyrics say it all. They did all the heavy lifting.  I wrote about what this show means to me here: http://narrativemultiverse.blogspot.com/2020/02/bojack-horseman.html Program: VegasPro 18 Coloring: None (animation's beautiful all on its own)   Oh my gosh. I can't even. Am I back? Who's to say. I haven't uploaded a full video since January. I went months without ever opening Vegas. I started this video back in February and swore I'd at least get it out by April (reasonable, right?) for a birthday present. Where did the time go? Firstly, grad school is a bitch. I love the work, but it becomes all consuming. At the end of a long day, all I want to do is passive hobbies like reading and watching TV. I don't have it in me to vid, knowing that it takes so much of my time, effort, attention to detail, and creative juices. Secondly, I'm on summer vacation. That means I have a...

January, 2021 (Made public February, 2021) Fandom/Character: Harry Potter Song: Lonely by Justin Bieber Description: Who knew Justin Bieber and Harry Potter were the same person? This is for the favorite character challenge as part of The Happiness Project! I thought a lot about vidding which characters were popular at the moment or more current. If you ask me my honest answer for favorite character of all time though, it'd still be the one and only Harry.   Unfortunately this song was unavailable for me on YouTube. Please visit the vimeo link to watch the whole thing: https://vimeo.com/501887944 Program: vegaspro 18 Coloring: sunnyvids Soon You'll Get Better   I probably spent more time navigating how to upload this video rather than the editing process. I knew the song was popular at the moment, so I checked to see if any others vidded to this song already. The answer? They had. There was even a video within the Harry Potter fandom TO THIS SONG uploaded recentl...

December, 2020 Fandom: How to Get Away with Murder Song: The Greatest by Sia Description: This is for The Happiness Project Secret Santa Exchange! I got Suvi aka Supsi85 which was a huge honor! She also made my Secret Santa video which was amazing at /watch?v=oIoklkPKDY8&t=1s I watch Supsi85's htgawm videos a lot so I was super intimidated to get her. And then I was even more freaked out when she made my video and it was fantastic. I know she loves Annalise's character so I did my best here and hope it's alright!!! Annalise is also a favorite character of mine. I literally just wrote an essay on her character for my grad school program (The reason this video was a few days late Suvi, sorry!) so Annalise has clearly been on my mind. I had never vidded her before but I sure have a large list of htgawm vid ideas. Program: svp18 Coloring: Sunnyvids Paprika (w/a few occasional adjustments)   Oh boy did I mean it when I said I was intimidated making this. I haven't vidd...

December, 2020 Fandom: The Fault in Our Stars Characters: Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace Lancaster Song: Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay   Description: This is a reupload from a video that got taken down. It's heartbreaking and unfortunate, because back in its day like five years ago, it had 200k views! It was one of my most successful videos. I did take this as an opportunity to revamp it a bit. Here is the old description: The line that captured me in this song wasn't "sky full of stars" for the stars comparison, but "you're such a heavenly view." I couldn't get that line out of my head.   Edited with vegas pro 18 Coloring mine I thank The Happiness Project for the overlays I wrote about the original video in a prior blog post. What happened is the video got dinged for copyright - not for the song like usual, but for the film. It had been copyrighted for a while, so I sent a dispute to Fox and they turned it down. It's ridiculous because I hav...

November, 2020 Fandom: Chuck Song: True Friend by Hannah Montana  Description: This is the stupidest thing I've ever created I'm so sorry. Grad school killed my brain cells this is all I have left to offer.   As much as this is a troll video it's also my contribution to The Happiness Project non-romantic video challenge! This is, no doubt, the best non-romantic ship of the show. Program: svp18 Coloring: mine   Oh my gosh I was like... do I make this video? Is this too ridiculously stupid? I've had the idea of ironically pairing this ship together with this song for like ten years, but ten years ago I would have been an adolescent with a very different sense of humor. I wasn't sure if it was still worth making.   When the non-romantic video challenge theme came up on The Happiness Project, I had several options I could have made - but this was the ONLY video where I was thinking, "This is the only circumstance in which I would make this video." All of the o...
