My first Charah vid (of like the 50+ I had in my head)!!! The TV show "Chuck" admittedly is what got me into watching other people's fan videos in the first place. It's also what got me vidding what I call "in my head" which means listening to a song and being able to visualize the scenes that come with it. I was obsessed with this show and I think it comes across in my videos somehow because, to date, all of my most popular videos tend to be Chuck videos. Perhaps it's also because I fill a void where, in the years since the show ended (back in 2012) I still am vidding it.

It's interesting how all of my Chuck vids are like a time capsule to junior high. The song choices I always make for Chuck videos are generally more juvenile, because those are the ones I planned out back when I was first watching the show. This song in particular is an exception, as I still believe this is an incredibly beautiful song that is timeless. However, generally, making Chuck vids as an adult I feel weird because it's almost... below me?? That's the wrong phrase. They are the kinds of videos that would have actually made me a successful vidder in 2010, but now make me seem like the vidding world's biggest amateur. I still feel that way. I make simple videos with often simple songs and just stick scenes to music and lyrics based on timing, which is the barebones of vidding that I fell in love with all those years ago - something that the vidding community has moved far beyond into such beautifully complex creations. I still make these anyways because I love the act of doing it so much. And I don't care about other success. This isn't my career, it's my hobby, so I do it for me.

All that said, even for me this is a difficult one to watch back as it suffered from the "quick fades" transitions I complained about in all my earlier posts. Sure, it made me able to crank out like 10 videos in my first month but why did I think this looked good??

This may be my favorite Bridgerton-related season? And Corey Mylchreest?? What a charmer. There are a lot of wonderful videos out there that focus on the drama and tragedy of his madness. This a powerful exploration of the weight of mental illness and the stigma, horror, fear, and sadness it carries.
