Welcome to my blog about all of my fanvideos! Here I discuss more of the making behind each one, including the intention, satisfaction, and thoughts about the creative process. Originally, all of these posts were on LiveJournal, though as the site has declined in popularity and usability, I wanted to transfer all of these posts to another format. 

This was my first video I ever uploaded. I can hardly bear to watch it now, as it was mostly me trying to figure out how to use my program - but it carries a lot of nostalgia. I had just graduated from a very rigorous high school program and finally had the time and opportunity to try a hobby I had always dreamed of doing.

It actually bugs me that there are thousands of views on it because I'm like "NO!! This is not me!! I'm better than this I swear!!" But when I first made this I was SO, SO proud. I showed all of my friends. I cringe on that now.

It's a video I had in my head for many, many years so even SOMEWHAT bringing it to life was a very, very big deal. I was a vidder in my head, but I was young and lacked any software or knowledge about the technicalities and was too scared and embarrassed to ask my parents for any help. I had gotten the editing program, PowerDirector 13, for Christmas earlier that year, but had no files to edit. Then my dad said he had digital copies of all of our Harry Potter films and boom! All of a sudden a dream became tangible.

This may be my favorite Bridgerton-related season? And Corey Mylchreest?? What a charmer. There are a lot of wonderful videos out there that focus on the drama and tragedy of his madness. This a powerful exploration of the weight of mental illness and the stigma, horror, fear, and sadness it carries. But I wanted to make a video that really focused on his charisma and presence as a king in spite of it. Screw the madness, underneath it all he is "just George." And by "just George" I mean a profoundly alluring man.
