Here's another little vidding rave. There's something incredibly special to me in vidding about the ability to tell an incredibly complicated story in an accelerated matter. It's compact, and therefore more narratively saturated, if you will. So as pleasing as vids are aesthetically, it's not all they have to offer. I like to play a lot with themes and bending narratives to fit a particular song or set of lyrics. I can appreciate other videos for their aesthetics, but I feel like I can never be as good at that piece of it. This particular song/character match is to me the ultimate example of vidding to a theme. There are plenty of romantic songs that get vidded to all of the time, because they can fit for any couple, any ship, any fandom. And then there's something like this that feels very specific to Chuck and Sarah. And I'm VERY proud of it for that reason.

This may be my favorite Bridgerton-related season? And Corey Mylchreest?? What a charmer. There are a lot of wonderful videos out there that focus on the drama and tragedy of his madness. This a powerful exploration of the weight of mental illness and the stigma, horror, fear, and sadness it carries. But I wanted to make a video that really focused on his charisma and presence as a king in spite of it. Screw the madness, underneath it all he is "just George."
